Cocoa Beach, Florida

Cocoa Beach is located on Florida's beautiful Space Coast.  There is never a lack of exciting things to do and see in and around Cocoa Beach; parasailing, surfing, kayaking, river boat tours, world famous Ron Jon's, wonderful dining and much more.  In addition to being the closest beach to Orlando, Cocoa Beach is situated just minutes from Florida's fastest growing port - Port Canaveral - where you can embark from the world class cruise terminals aboard cruises to exotic destinations. Disney Cruise Line makes its home in Port Canaveral, as well as Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line

Cocoa Beach is a well known for it's waves and surfing.  The Space Coast is home to some of the best surfing spots on the East Coast. World Champion surfer Kelly Slater's hometown is Cocoa Beach, Florida. If you are a beginner, there are surfing schools to get you started and if you are a spectator come out and watch the many surf festials thoughtout the year.  The Cocoa Beach Annual Easter Surfing Festival, held at the Cocoa Beach Pier,  is in it's 50th Year!!

Cocoa Beach Ocean Front Parks

Alan Shepard Park

Located at the east end of State Road 520
Shepard Park is a two-acre, oceanfront park providing picnic, shower, and restroom facilities for guests. Seasonal lifeguards on duty. The park was named after astronaut Alan Shepard and provides an excellent view of space launches. Facilities include 10 large picnic pavilions, several smaller covered picnic tables and a bathhouse. More than 300 parking spaces are available for automobiles and recreational vehicles. The parking fee is $7 for cars and RVs, except on weekends and holidays from March 1 through Labor Day when the parking fee is $10; buses are not permitted, nor is overnight parking.

Sidney Fischer Park
Located in the 2100 block of State Road A1A
A 10-acre, oceanfront park, Fischer is a family favorite. The park is ideal for a picnic and a swim in the Atlantic. About 200 parking spaces, picnic pavilions, and recently renovated shower and restroom facilities are provided. Seasonal lifeguards on duty. The park was named after Sidney Fischer, who served as the mayor of Cocoa Beach from 1956 to 1960. The parking fee is $5 for cars and recreational vehicles. Buses are not permitted. Park closes at dusk - no overnight parking permitted.

Lori Wilson Park
Located at 1500 N. Atlantic Ave.
This 32.5-acre, oceanfront park is operated by Brevard County and has seasonal lifeguards. Facilities include restrooms, three pavilions along a 1,000' boardwalk, six dune crossovers, maritime hammock, volleyball court, a playground, barbecue grills, and a 274-space parking lot conveniently located on both the north and south sides of the park. Seasonal lifeguards on duty.

Robert P. Mukshe Memorial Park
State Road A1A and 16th St. South
This two-acre, oceanfront park, operated by Brevard County, offers a boardwalk, parking, restrooms, picnic and shower facilities. The park is named after Robert P. Murkshe, who served as Cocoa Beach mayor from 1963 to 1972.

In addition, Cocoa Beach is home to several eco tours offering kayaking through the Thousand Islands to view wading birds and watch Florida Manatees at play and guided boat rides to watch the dolphins.

If Golfing is your passion, Cocoa Beach is home to the Cocoa Beach Country Club, located along the Banana River in Cocoa Beach. There are three nine hole courses that provide an excellent variety for the recreational golfer. The Banana River and the seventeen lakes that are located on the golf course provide a habitat that attracts many species of birds and animals.  You may have the opportunity to see dolphins, alligators, manatees and abundant waterfowl in their natural habitat. Course features include putting greens, a driving range and a "19th hole".

Cocoa Beach is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River and is home to many Kennedy Space Center engineers, technicians and supporting staff.  There are many single family homes, condominiums and townhomes available for sale or lease.  Many have spectacular oceanfront or river front views.
